The 2020 April – July unregulated inflow forecast for Lake Powell is 4,100 kaf (a decrease of 300 kaf *) or 57% of average.
Lake Powell observed unregulated inflow for April was 40% of average and 66% for May.
The Lake Powell unregulated inflow forecast for June, July, and August is as follows:
June 1,650 kaf (a decrease of 50 kaf) or 62% of average *
July 434 kaf (a decrease of 91 kaf) or 40% of average *
August 300 kaf or 60% of average
*The amount of change is compared to the May mid-month unregulated inflow forecast dated May 18, 2020.
The observed precipitation values for the month of May are as follows:
• Green River Basin: Ranged between 45 and 50 percent of average
• Colorado River Basin: Ranged between 20 and 50 percent of average
• San Juan River Basin: Recorded 20 percent of average
• Above Lake Powell: Recorded 40 percent of average
