2024 Water Education Grants
The Gunnison River Basin Roundtable is pleased to announce grants of up to $1,500 for water education through its Public Education, Participation, and Outreach (PEPO) Committee.
Funds are available to anyone engaged in water education, including public and private schools, libraries, scout troops, homeschoolers, 4-H clubs, and other organizations offering programming for children up to 18 years old in the Gunnison Basin.
Our goal is to support programs that teach young Coloradans in Basin communities the importance and value of our most precious resource: water.
We are open to funding all water-related education programs and projects including, conservation education, program and curriculum materials, field trips, water tables, outdoor education, guest speakers, and staff hours. Apply for funding to support and expand programs you’ve done before or to launch new ideas. Funds must be spent by November 30, 2024.
To apply, complete the application form and submit it to PEPO Coordinator Savannah Nelson at [email protected]. Applications are due at 5:00 p.m. on March 25, 2024.
As you prepare your application, don’t hesitate to contact Savannah with questions. We’re here to help!
Applications will be reviewed by the Gunnison River Basin Roundtable’s PEPO Committee, and award notifications will be made by April 5, 2024.
