Gunnison Tunnel Diversions to Increase to Capacity
Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Association manager Steve Anderson announced that flows through the Gunnison Tunnel will be increased by 50 cubic feet per second (cfs) beginning on July 24th bringing the total flows to capacity of 1,300 cfs.
The Gunnison Tunnel is a 5.8 mile irrigation tunnel that diverts water from the Gunnison River to the arid Uncompahgre Valley around the Montrose, Colorado area.
